In 1989, Cardinal Environmental was founded in response to industry and public demand for quality, timely and comprehensive environmental engineering services.
Since its beginning, Cardinal has provided civil engineering services such as transportation design, land planning, utility study and design and site development. Through these projects, Cardinal developed a corporate resume with significant civil engineering and surveying projects of which to be proud.
The environmental engineering services include water, wastewater, groundwater delineation and remediation, air quality permitting, control technology selection, greenhouse gas/carbon footprint calculations, and on-going compliance and strategic guidance with regard to current and future regulations.
In 1999, Cardinal purchased Lemke Land Surveying and changed our name to Cardinal Engineering to bring focus to in-house engineering, environmental, and surveying capabilities.
In April 2010, Cardinal made a commitment to growth and expansion. Our commitment is to growing traditional engineering services, developing our new "Studio" engineering department, expansion of our surveying services in new markets, and continuing to promote our environmental services to the private sector. We believe that the services we offer are vital to the community. In addition, our commitment to providing a workplace that encourages our employees to be involved in the community and value their family time will be enhanced by this plan for growth and prosperity.
